Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida

"Our mission is to transform the lives of homeless men, women and children by providing crucial services to end their crisis of homelessness."

The Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida provides food, shelter, case management, education, counseling, daycare, and summer programs. Also, they provide community housing with the intent to keep families together during a time of crisis. They have a women’s residential unit, which provides for single women with children and a men’s residential unit. In addition, for women they have a counseling center that is a support system for things such as domestic violence. For the male veterans, they have created specialized assistance to help those who served.

There are plenty of ways to volunteer and work with the Coalition. People can provide meals, help with the children, sort donations, facilitate maintenance projects, be an administrative assistant, or be a group activity coordinator. The Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida has many ways one can directly or indirectly help the homeless.
